The Gap Between Skilled Healthcare Workers and Support Jobs - According to Health Learder's Media, (02July2012), "The Conference Board Help Wanted OnLine data series for June reports 615,800 online job ads seeking skilled healthcare workers, led primarily by the demand for registered nurses and physical therapists. Sharp increase expected in number of nurse practitioners - According to amednews.com, (02July2012), "The nurse practitioner population will nearly double by 2025, according to an analysis published in the July Medical Care, the official journal of the medical care section of the American Public Health Assn." TTC breaks ground on nursing and science building - According to the Charleston Regional Business Journal, (27June2012), "Trident Technical College broke ground Monday on a $30 million nursing and science building on the college’s main campus.
