Graham Center Projects Increase in Physicians Working in Shortage Areas - According to aafp.org, on Apr 23, 2014, AAFP's Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies in Family Medicine and Primary Care recently published a policy brief that looked at the projected impact of the Primary Care Residency Expansion program on the number and distribution of new primary care physicians. One major take-away from the study was that family medicine residency programs represented the highest return on investment in terms of turning out primary care physicians who would likely work in health professional shortage areas or rural areas. TO READ MORE click here
